This and other chassis in the ALF series were not bodied until 1964, the AFS petrol carriers were a very rare breed indeed. The only known Commer petrol carrier in preservation is ALF16B which shows the safety features of the substantial firewall behind the cab AND the front mounted exhaust. (Ken Reid)
