Ken writes ... These Dodge K850/1113s were a delight to drive with low centre of gravity giving good handling and road holding even with the three tons of water on board. Our examples all had the Perkins V8 fitted. The early versions supplied up to 1973 were uprated by Unipower to comply with JCDD (Joint Committee of Design and Development) Fire Brigade Regs.
