Sporting one of the 'DMS' type fleetnames, Peckham's RM1443 is seen on the time honoured Crystal Palace Parade stand. This is June 3rd 1973 and RM1443 is running as PM 6 on the 63s and will head through town to its now normal terminus of Kings Cross, the route having lost its Sunday extension to Hampstead Heath exactly a year earlier.

Just over three years later, route 63 would play host for six years to Metro-Scania MD class buses before being reallocated Routemasters once more. (Malcolm K Allan)
