The Kingston Road in Tolworth finds Fulwell Garage's RM1127 as FW 9 on route 281 with another example of those infrequent open bullseye fleetnames. On June 12th 1973, RM1127 heads for its peak hour terminus of Chessington Industrial Estate.

With the only green represented by the road sign and that mucky council bin, the driver of a lone Ford Corsair seems close enough to count the rivets on the back of our Routemaster! A lone telltale sign of a jet plane having just passed overhead is also visible. (Malcolm K Allan)
