Ted Angus ... If the rear body - minus crane - is original then this is very likely to be one of the 1950s productions for the RAF with the 5ton steel dropside FVRE bodies.

John Harrington ... This is Matador 0853 10715, one of the later RAF ones fitted with a steel dropside body. They were not intended for this use but the original intention was probably as some kind of radio van. Some of the earlier batch had dropside bodies on "AV" regs. These were built by Marshall although I have no confirmation of the builder of 10715 etc. 10715 was 76AE96 and is owned by Donald Ludlum.
