GXY19 was one of two Maudslay Mogul Mk II 1200 gallon bowsers operated by London Transport. Acquired second hand from Shell-Mex & BP in 1954 it lasted with LT until 1972 in the service vehicle fleet as number 1014MY. The other one, GXY28, 1013MY, was withdrawn much earlier, in 1962.

The photo was taken around 1977, and according to DVLA GXY19 is still licensed.
