Now this is probably a very unusual image. First glimpse indicates the Contractor hauling a 6- or possibly 8-axle modular trailer but a closer look indicates otherwise. The cockpit below the loading deck of the trailer indicates this is probably an early SPMT possibly Cometto. With no ballast box or drawbar evident on the Scammell it therefore looks as if it is acting as a pilot escort not the prime mover. (Peter Skerry)
