Braidwood pump escape entered service with Exmouth UDC Fire Brigade on 15th May 1936, passing to Devon Fire Brigade in the 1948 reorganisation. In the 1960s it was sold to John Pitt & Sons, who had a mill in Exeter. It later spent a few years with the West of England Transport Collection at Winkleigh before passing to the Fire Museum at Devonport. Lympstone 23/6/2013. (Dave Godley)
