1966 Scammell Constructor HPY54D
On my arrival at the GDSF on the Thursday the guest steam locomotive 34051 'Winston Churchill' was still outside the showground as conditions were a long way off equipment this size being taken on site. By Friday morning it had found its way up to the top of the 'Playpen' and as the morning went on, it was delivered to its demonstration site at the side of the playpen. This involved Scammell Constructors HPY54D (Junior) and NEO705R (Super), and a Rotinoff on the rear to act as an additional brake. Great Dorset Steam Fair 31/8/12. (George Ward) #1
