1922 Maxwell 25-cwt CJ5052
Entered by the Montagu Motor Museum. This is a 14-seat charabanc found in a garage in Bromyard in 1957 in poor condition and believed unused from 1929 until acquired by the Museum. Maxwells were imported from the U.S.A. in moderately large numbers in the early 'twenties but this is the only known surviving commercial. Alderman H. Nettleton, His Worship the Mayor of Brighton, is the distinguished passenger. Note also Brighton's forward control Land-Rover/Miles 8376AD in attendance.
