This Bedford Luton van was all but brand new when this picture was taken during its first 500 mile service at Arthur Martins. It had a 4cyl diesel engine and a 1000 cubic foot body. I actually drove this one several times while helping out my friend the owner – found it a little slow when loaded but ideal for local work. It was eventually sold to Economy House in Taunton and lasted about a year when one of their drivers blew the engine. It was then sold as scrap. (Richard Endericks)
