A new restoration project. GPO postal HVP van (High Value Packets) used to return used postal orders and bank notes to London for burning. Alarm fitted, extra interior lights, seating for three. No access from cab to load area, all other normal Postal J types had a sliding door. This example has been kept under a leaking sheet for 35 years which let the water in and stopped it from drying out. No registration number, no chassis plate, with a Morris-Commercial grille it should be a side valve engine van but this has the later B series engine from new. Estimated production date April 1955.
