The remains of an AEC Mercury which sat in an open yard for a long time. I can't remember if it had been a poorly looked after cattle wagon, or a tannery lorry. The state of the chassis suggests either. The yard owner died suddenly and everything disappeared soon after. I don't think the Mercury made it into preservation. (Bill Reid)
