1938 Leyland FK6 CTX900
Entered by Bill Hakesley, Taplow, Maidenhead. After a comparatively short spell of service with the Glamorgan County Council from 1938 this Light 6 Limousine fire engine was loaned, during th war, to the London County Council. It was returned to Glamorgan after the war, eventually being retired in the late 'fifties. After being found in a derelict condition in 1968, it was restored and, later, appeared in the film 'Battle of Britain'. It has a fuel consumption of 7 miles per gallon.
