G.P.O. Lineman's Utility Vehicle. Entered by V.J. Bignell, Hayes, Middlesex. This is the only known complete survivor of some 1300 similar vehicles produced by the Post Office between 1925 and 1938. It was found in a field in Wiltshire in 1966 having stood there since 1950 when it was sold out of service by the Post Office. Re-purchased in 1970, the restoration was carried out at the Post Office Motor Transport workshops at Yeading, Middlesex.
